My name is Chris, and I am 35 years old. I am originally from Southern California, but I now live in Atlanta, Georgia, where I have been for almost seven years. I currently work for Comcast Business here in Atlanta. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, enjoying live music, the outdoors, and supporting my Atlanta sports teams.
In my current role with Comcast, I work as a coordinator dealing with advanced products for business customers. My team takes contracts from sales and builds the accounts. Once the accounts are created, we schedule the installations with the customers. Our primary focus is handling accounts with the new surveillance system that Comcast offers.
I currently attend Ashford University pursuing a bachelor’s degree in information technology, and I will be graduating in January of 2022. Once I graduate, I hope to transition into a position within Comcast as well as continue my education and pursue a master’s degree. Although there are many opportunities within Comcast, my ideal career path would be either network security or network management.
Information Technology is an ever-growing field. There are endless opportunities in IT as many organizations rely on information technology such as network set up and maintenance, or network security. There will always be a need for educated IT professionals, and I hope to become part of that group with my bachelors and possibly master’s in information technology.
